One of my fellow natural hair bloggers, Vida Starr, has a challenge for you all! I know you love challenges, right?! Here it is from her site, Life Star Beauty, and the breakdown is below:
What is the challenge? Starting on May 1st I will be drinking 10 glasses of water a day (that’s about 5 water bottles) and eating a healthy serving of fruits and/or green veggies in every meal. For the second stage of the challenge I’m going to eat more Salmon for dinner but since my budget doesn’t allow me to purchase it too often, I will try to eat it at least once a week. We’ll see though. For the third stage of the challenge I will be introducing at least 30 min of cardiovascular exercise at least 4 times a week.
What is the goal of this challenge? Well I want to see if their will be results in the length and the health (Less breakage more moisture) of my hair.
How long will the challenge be? I think it will take at least 3 months to see some sort of change. But I plan to do my healthy hair challenge in stages. May will mark the beginning of stage one. June will be stage two and July will be stage three. I hope to stick with this challenge for the rest of my life. But I will be noting the progress every three months. So the week of August 1st I will be writing about whether or not I’m noticing any differences in my hair. The week of November 1st I’ll write about any changes after the first 6 months etc…
Sounds lovely, but I’m going to have to bow out of this one, lol! I already drink 6-8 glasses of water a day (via protein shakes), and have no desire to consume anymore liquid!
