    Hey Elle,

It’s been a minute since I’ve commented but I never lose site of you pretty lady.

    I love your braid out!

You can’t get your braidout to last more than a day? Why is it the twist out is the same for me. Trying a twist out is a waste of time for me but it took me years of trying to finally say the heck with it. I can get the braid out to last and last and last.

I pin it to my head flat with duck bill clips and tie it down with a silk scarf and fluff in the mornings. If any spots get frizzy or start to loose definition, I’ll replait those sections only. I continue to use the OHM SWP over leave-in conditioner and Qhemet moisturizers and get great results EVERY time.

Thanks Rhonnie! Interesting, I dunno my hair just stretched too much anytime I would try to do anything to it at night. It seems that they just work best for me when I sleep with my hair out and fluff in the morning. I do like dry twist outs though, they seem to stretch a little more – last time I let my wet twist out last a couple of days, then when it started to look crappy I retwisted with conditioner on dry hair. It was shiny and smooth the next day! And yes, the Ohm Pudding is really good for these styles! Nice to “see” you and thanks for the tip! 🙂

Your hair looks really cute in the vid. What products did you use for the braidout? Also, did you braid the hair wet or dry?

I think your hair looks great, Elle. Braid outs like twists in my opinion takes some time to get use especially if one has not worn them before or as often. I have worn plait outs/braids for several years, and some days GREAT big hair and other days, uh not so great. You probably could lift the roots a bit with a rattail comb (with the pick) end on it. I think once your hair get used to this style, (to train your hair), it will do what you want it to do. Hopefully. 🙂

Have you ever tried Bee Mine Deep Conditioner? I tried it yesterday with my hair steaming treatment. Don’t know what to think about it just yet. Apparently Tracey also makes an Avocado Balanced Conditioner, Aloe Vera based, that can be used as a deep treatment conditioner. Gave me too much shrinkage!

hehe I do not need extra either but I bought for two reasons: try something new and needed retail therapy. 😉 Don’t you hate when a braid is still lingering in your hair undone. I used to get this a lot too and end up at work or school with 1-2 plait in my hair. It takes a while to take down to. How long did it take you to do each one?

I was in Sally’s tonight, and the sales girl was trying to sell me the Mixed Silk version of Mixed Chicks. According to her, it suppose to “hydrate curls.” I said no thank you I have enough products at home. I think it was her pushing product for me to buy.

I have no idea…it took me an hour to braid my hair, I dunno how long it took me to stop because I kept bsing…lol

So, I loved this post. The best part was in the beginning after you hadn’t even taken down one braid and you were like, “Whew…I’m tired already.” Ha ha ha ha ha
    SO funny.
What’s the stuff you used to braid it with? I heard you say something like, Honey-something.
    Anyways…
    Hysterical!

I’m surprised to still see a lot of red. You dyed it back brown right?

What’s the name of the jewelry store you’re going to treat yourself to?

    • HB says:

Indigo isn’t permanent, and it seemed to wash out quickly…I did it like two weeks ago and wash my hair everyday, so I think it faded a lot.

I ended up not getting the jewelry because I liked it more as the day went on, but the store is Peace Images.
