Hi, I’m new to the “hair world” lol…but what is a rinse out? Is that leaving hair conditioned in your then rinse out in the shower? By the way I love your channel I have been watching all your videos…you have such a cool personality! 😀

Thanks! A rinse out is a conditioner that you apply in the shower, leave it in for a few mins, then rinse out…as opposed to a leave-in conditioner, which you apply either in the shower or out of the shower, and do not rinse it out.

I just reup on my stock of CJ from Curl Mart with their 20% sale.
    I purchased first times:
    1. Repair Me Conditioner
    2. Hibiscus & Honey Butta Leave-In Conditioner
    3. Coco Curl Creme for Styling

and got some more Curl Assurance Smoothing Lotion (leave-in conditioner). I love curlmart. They always have discounts to save us some $$$. I want to try this new conditioner by Marsha to compare with her others. CJ is one of my favorite staple lines.

What are your thoughts about Afroveda new 3 items? The Curl Souffle, new conditioner, and Strengthen Spray. I know the verdict is still out about Afroveda. I love fruity scents and curious. SMH Shescentit also have a Papaya Cocktail Styler and Pomegranate Conditioner to be hitting the line late April.

Both of them are HG leave-ins for me and I can use them alone. Very moisturizing. But the HH has some protein and it feels a bit more oily.

great, thanks. I have not taken the time to understand ingredients which is why I love the time you take explaining the differences!

I haven’t tried the HH and was getting ready to order. I was trying to restrain myself because i just bought the natures gate aloe condish (love), repair me & curl rehab (starting to love). I too have thick hair so i was justifying…but can one ever have too much good conditioner? 🙂

    Hey Elle,
I think I read that this has coconut oil in it, My hair no likey coconut oil :0 but really loves the hair dew (I guess it really is all about the formulation) I also have low porosity hair but my coil pattern is tighter than yours, Thinking about giving this a try, Soothing lotion or beauticurls Argan?
    Great review!

Between the two, it really depends on how much you like glycerin and how you want to use it…the Smoothing Lotion is a staple for me in higher dews and the Beauticurls is more of a versatile product. I can use it in all dews because there is no glycerin. My hair also hates coconut oil alone left on my hair, but I can use it to prepoo and it’s fine in a formulation most of the time.

Thanks girl! It was sunny out today, lol. And I’m trying to keep myself from skipping over to AveYou myself! I want another bottle…lol

Hey Elle, I asked how the new CJ conditioner worked in comparison to Oyin’s Hair Dew so thanks for the comparison. I tried to order from CJ today but the new conditioner is out of stock. So I may try the smoothing lotion and CIAB for the time being. Still love the Hair Dew so like you mentioned I may use that as my stable refresher.

I tried wash n gos with the conditioner only method at the beginning of my hair journey and it didn’t work so I may revisit it again. Like you mentioned my hair frizzes without the control of gel so we’ll see how it work with the new CJ conditioner once it’s back in stock.

Thanks again for another great review.

You’re welcome! 🙂 Last time I checked, people were picking up the new condish from AveYou, it’s still in stock there.
