Hi, Elle. Can you share with us what prompted your switch to water rinsing and if there are benefits over co-washing? Is there a particular routine you follow for a number of days? Maybe the water rinse method can be a topic for a blog post or even a video. I’m suddenly dealing with scalp flakes and don’t know what to try.

I’ve been shampooing my hair really since the beginning of my natural hair journey…so there was really no point to cowash. I still condition my hair after I water rinse, but there was no reason to try to scrub my scalp with conditioner. I don’t think it was doing much anyway. Also, I use some conditioners with cones, so getting them out by cowashing wouldn’t work – I need to shampoo or use a cleansing conditioner.

PJ’ism aint no JOKE for a broke out of state college student Dx

As for the whole scent thing, Im the exact same way! I prefer sweet cake/vanilla/banana smelling products then herbal smells. So it was a bit of let down for me when Oyin’s Honey Hemp had that lemon-y, herbal smell. But thats okay ‘cuz it fades.
I ordered the Hair Dew and I heard that has a warm, brown sugar smell anways

If you haven’t tried Shecent it’s products I recommend her Banana Deep Moisturizing Conditioner. Smells like Banana Pudding/Bubble Gum! : D

Oh hey hey!! See I like the Honey Hemp, it smells fruity/lemony/honey-like to me! But yes I LOVE LOVE LOVE dessert smells. I get made fun of b/c my friends are like dude you always smell like cake.

And curse you for letting me know about the SSI…banana pudding is one of my fave foods!
