Soooo, I have a bunch of reviews I need to do, but I’d really like to know what YOU guys wanna hear about. I try to do them based on general interest, but sometimes…y’all don’t care about what I try, lol! And that’s totally fine, but input from my pals is always helpful. So, here’s what I’m working with right now…
I know, right? And that’s not even all of it. Yes, I put myself on a no buy…smh. Anywhos, lemme know!
xoxo
Ahhh…It was so hard to pick which one of those products I wanted to see the most lol…there is one product though that I would like to see a review of b/c I have been looking for affordable replacements to my aphogee 2 step treatment and that is the aubrey organics gpb. I know it is on your holy grail list but I have never heard you talk about it I would really like to know b/c my hair loves protein
Oh…I’m not sure I’m going to review that, but I’ll put it on the list for later…I wouldn’t compare it to Aphogee at all (going by what ppl have said about Aphogee, b/c I have never used it). The GPB is not a hardcore treatment, more of a light treatment. I never reviewed it because I use it more as a protein conditioner, not a treatment (similar to the Knotty Girl condish).
Hey Elle, I really appreciate the time and details u put into ur product reviews. Although some of ur staple products have not work for my hair at least u give enough information about how they have worked so I can make the decision to try it or not. I’ve also learned about researching and experimenting with ingredients so I know what my hair likes as well as proper haircare techniques. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and keep up the good work. Yeah, team wash and go!
Thanks for all of your product reviews…they really help!!
Looking forward to the reviews, especially the Garnier line. I am always looking for inexpensive drugstore brands that work. I love Fantasia ICE gel, it’s my new staple and you and few other curlies had recommeded it. BTW, I am in LOVE with Oyin Hair Dew- OMG, it’s amazing. I used it on my two girls who have fine hair, doesn’t weigh them down and keeps their hair shiny and soft. And it works on my medium-thick hair. Love the smell and a little goes a long way. Thanks for your review on that one.
Izzy looks beautiful. Looking forward to all the reviews-thanks,
I voted but I can’t wait till you do reviews on products that could be easily accessed here in the UK as well 😦
What products are those?
It could be any! Seeing that a lot of the products you review are new to me, it would be nice to see products you reviewed that were easy to get here too. The products here have been reviewed already so thats why I said this
Ah, okay. I thought you meant you wanted me to review a specific brand or products that you already know you can get in the UK. The only big UK site I know is British Curlies.
Curl Ecstasy is a definite staple (the i-freak-out-when-i-run-out! kind of staple). I’d be curious to know how that one works for you (i voted already).
The Qhemet tea tree gel is also a staple (this and the Oyin Shine and Define are my favourite gels) but since your hair is much thicker than mine, i wonder how that one works on your hair…
Your hair is fine too, right? Obvi I’ll go into detail during the reviews but the Ecstasy is pretty good on my hair, not great though. And the Qhemet gel has too much glycerin – it makes my hair very wet when I use it. I like it better for slicking down ponytails, and I think it would be good for twists. Also, since my hair is dense, I used almost half of the jar in one application! That was no good.
Btw are there any little surprises in store that did not make it too the list? 😉
I have products that have been provided to me by companies that I have to review, but they aren’t on the list b/c I have to review them in a certain time frame. This list consists of products that I have bought in the past few months.
Actually I would like to hear all of your reviews on these listed poll items! For me there are at least 4: Shea Moisture item, 2 Curls items, and Tigi. Bit curious about the Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Line and Hairveda. Hairveda I have been interesting in buying from them, but now they are going on vacay. So please do a review on the Hairveda Moist 24/7. 🙂
LOL I mean, I’m going to review them all, I just don’t know what order I’m going to do it in. I’m going to do them in order by the poll.
Yippee! Ight then. I bet you will have to review the Shea Moisture Organic Hair Thickening Milk first. Little Penguins Organic Honey and Vanilla Bean Smoothie seems sweet by the name. Hope it is. And please let us know where you purchased if case we want to try.
Hurry up and vote ladies. So Elle can get on the roll. hehee 😉
I was really hoping the curl junkie repair me protein treatment was going to make it to the poll! I’m totally heartbroken! I guess that video will come later in the summer!!
I love that stuff, but I rarely do protein treatments…I’ve probably only used it 3x. It hasn’t failed me yet though, I even detangle with it. It’s definitely the best PT I have ever used.
I was actually going to purchase the CJ PT, but no one had reviewed it on YT or NC, so I was reluctant to purchase. So instead I bought the spiral solutions PT, which isn’t bad but it’s my first PT, so idk what to really expect. Also, I wanted to know if you could do a video about your health and exercise regimen? I’m so jealous of how toned you are!
I don’t think there is an “official” review on NC, but plenty of the ladies on there love it and rave about it. I haven’t tried the SS PT, but I like their DC a lot! And thanks for the compliment re: health/exercise, but I can’t put a video online of my regimen. Since I’m not a certified nutritionist, I really would not want to make information like that public via the internet without knowing how other people could be affected. But mainly, I just try to drive as little as possible (prefer walking, and I just bought a bike), and try to not eat a bunch of carbs – sugar and empty carbs will make you gain weight way more than fat. I don’t lift anymore, but I do 20 pushups a day, lol.
*Runs to learn how to do a proper pushup* I totally understand, I mean you receive enough flack from doing hair product reviews from YTers. No need to to have nutritional know-it-alls hounding you, too. But I love SS DT a lot! Like my hair felt amazing, like too amazing for words even! Your review of SS paired with a discount code really led to that purchase. THANKS! Just remember to keep doing your thing, I dont care what you review imma still watch hoping you make one of those “ew, this product stinks” facial expressions, #classic
LOL thank you! It’s not really nutrition know-it-alls that I’m worried about – I have a LOT of books on nutrition and health, and took classes in college…I’m more scared that someone would try to follow the advice I give and hurt themselves. I don’t know what kind of medical conditions people may have, so what works for me may not be best for them (and different people have different nutritional needs), so I just wouldn’t want that info available to millions of people (not that millions of ppl watch my vids lol but there are millions on YT). Like, if you use a hair product and it makes your hair dry for a day, no biggie…but I would feel HORRIBLE if someone like actually got injured as a result of something I said. And I def have some “this stinks” expressions coming up trust me…yuckeroo…
Hey E!!
Can you do a product review on the Curls Curl Gel’les’c
Sure, make sure you vote in the poll! I will be doing the reviews in order by poll results only.
