Ok obvious question: is this a conditioner or a styler? And are you still liking the hair rules?

    Thanks!

I definitely love the Curl Enhancing Smoothie from Shea Moisture. I get the most beautiful curls when I use this product. On top of that, my hair stays really moisturized and soft when my wash ‘n gos dry. It’s definitely one of my favorite products right now, especially since I don’t like ordering products online, as I loathe paying S&H.

This stuff (curl smoothie) works wonderfully on my hair. I like how I only have to use a quarter size amount to get the job done (mind you I only have a 4in’ TWA lol). It smells good as well, but you’re right. The smell does dissipate as my hair dries.

I use the DTM and I agree with your findings. Does not make the hair soft. I have tried to baggy, sat under the dryer for 45 mins, and everything else, still sub par results. I DC 2 days per week and still looking for the right product for my low pros hair.

Btw, thank you for all your reviews! I enjoy your blog. I bc’d 4/1/11 and your reviews/ tips have helped so much during this journey.

thanks for the review. Just recently I’ve been getting great wash n gos with the CES, which really surprised me. I had good braid outs with this product when the weather was cooler, too. It has good slip and moisture. I also use it as a moisturizer/refresher for my children’s hair, as a way to tame fly aways and smoothing their hair into pony tails and braids. I think it’s so versatile that you can definitely find a use for it. And when you consider that it’s so easily available on the ground, for a good price, what’s not to love.

Thanks for that review. I tried the curl enhancing smoothie a year or two ago and I liked it but it didn’t have alot of slip. So I may give it another try. As for the restrorative mask and the conditioner, Hated it! No moisture, no slip and goes on rough. Even though some people may rave about the restorative line of Shea moisture I’ve realized everything doesn’t work for everybody.

Great review! I’ve only used the Curl Enhancing Smoothie and I love it for my dry twists for twist outs. I didn’t much care for it on my hair wet. It does make my hair very soft and I can put it on my ends when I re-twist if they get poofy.
