Boundless Tresses Scam? (Question Mark Now Obsolete)

I’m absolutely and 100% handing my mule over to the little baby Jesus on this one. BUT – the intent of this site is to inform my readers and assist my pals with making conscious decisions about their hair care and products. Recent evidence has been revealed that the owner of Boundless Tresses is allegedly no longer sending out products, but still cashing money orders and allowing orders to process. Several ladies have claimed their money was taken but they have not received any products nor responses from the company. However, you can still make orders on the site, as it’s still active.

Elle is taking a back seat on this one (too messy even for me), but I advise you guys not to order any products from the BT site until this issue is resolved.

UPDATE: LHCFFBI is on the job…further evidence has surfaced that the owner of Boundless Tresses is alive and well, canoodling on Facebook, deleting the mob comments from her YouTube, etc. She seems to be living her life just fine, yet has been “unable” to send out her products or refund money to her customers. **Deep Frustrated Sigh** Stay away guys…to everyone she bamboozled, I truly hope you can get your money back through PayPal or another means. Good luck.

Let this be a lesson to us ALL about dealing with online vendors, especially small companies without corporate backing.

  1. I ordered Boundless Tresses products on November 17, 2011. I went through paypal and I did receive my products on November 30. I’ve heard great things about this product and that it works. I just hope that this so called scam has been taken care of since I’ve gotten what I ordered.

    1. Yea, I heard she was sending out orders again – however, that doesn’t negate what happened before. I would never order from this company because you never know when she is going to stop fulfilling orders again.

      1. From what I read on LHCF, not everyone got their products/money – some people went to their banks though and got refunded.

  2. thanks for this post. i remember ordering 2 bottles in the past, like 2006/7 i believe. didn’t work for me anyways.

  3. That is CRAZY. I met her before– she lives in the same place I do. She met me once so I could purchase some products in person to avoid shipping. I have found that the Bee Mine Growth Serum smells alot better…

    Wow @ the owner checking to see if she’d get that $1,500 money order. Just wow.

    You can warn others by filing a Ripoff Report for Boundless Tresses.

  5. I’m so upset right now I bought a lot of BT and the balm for me and my friends and it’s more than obvious that it’s not coming and this was almost a month ago. I sent her an email but nothing. I just found out about the tread on lhcf from twitter, I’m trying to get my money back from paypal now. I hope she enjoyed spending my money it was more than $100.00, stupid me for buying from her. I’m not even a member of lhcf.

    1. WOW I’m sorry to hear this happened to you. I hope you can get your money back through PayPal and they close her account. This is ridiculous.

  7. Wow..this lady is a scam. My sister purchased some products from her and she never got her money back so she had to go through paypal to get reimbursed. My sis also places on order for $1500 as a test because she was so pissed she was scammed. Anyway she chose the pay by money order option. The owner had the nerve to send my sis an email asking when should she expect the money order smh. She is taking peoples checks and cashing them in. She needs to be reported and locked up for fraud.

      1. I’m another customer that was robbed by this women 85.00 it’s been two months since my order. After several emails without a reply, I followed a claim with paypal! Hopefully I can get my money back.

  8. Wow. This is similar to what happened with MopTop Maven around the first of the year. She reported that she was sick though but people were upset over not getting product or refunds.

    I will stick to stores & major brands w/known histories. I need a return policy & some protection for my purchase. And every chick walkin around w/o a relaxer is not a chemist & may not know what she’s doing mixing things up. If it’s simple kitchen ingredients I could do it myself.

    1. The only way I feel this can make sense at this point would be if she were involved in litigation and her lawyer advised her not to speak on the issue until the suit is settled. I’m baffled…

  11. I was lurking that thread over on LHCF I believe. I am shocked and pissed. I have taken a back seat to it and I’m just watching the madness. It’s ridiculous! WTH is wrong with these companies?!? I hope everyone gets their money back and I hope more people are aware of this issue. Makes me freakin sick. I really hate companies and people that take advantage of others (I should have been a lawyer, lol).

I haven’t gotten into buying growth-aid products, but after reading that thread (and you are soooo right about it being too messy. smh) I certainly won’t be making a purchase from BT. It makes me even more cautious about ordering from small business like that. 😦

    1. Yep…not getting involved but need to remind my girls to stay safe online and be sure they can track their purchases.

  15. I don’t understand people sometimes. If this is true, it is just awful. I think all these small and not-so-small businesses that are going strong selling natural hair products is a wonderful thing, but this is an example of the downside to all that goodness.

  16. I had never heard about the company until this very post.

    If she took payments through Paypal, it is my understanding, an aggrieved customer can request a refund from the organization.

    1. From what I have heard, some people got their money back via Pay Pal, but she also took money orders and that’s where they are having issues with being reimbursed. I just posted this because I don’t want anyone else to potentially lose money since the site is still up and running.
