I am still new to how to use all the different stuff…can you give some insight in words (can’t view video) of how you use the products from day to day and which ones (in general) should be used 1, day 2…

My regimen is posted on the site (not a video) that outlines how my do my hair daily and what I use. It’s one of the pages at the top. Also, which ones should be used together are really up to you – the combinations are pretty individualistic, as I have used specific combinations on my hair, and then it didn’t work for someone else.

I’m definitely not a minimalist, Elle! I love product junkies! Who else would supply us with all those great product review! 😉

hey Elle! jus wanted to say ya hair is fierceeee hunny! i look forward to your vids…never boring like some others can get..much love dollface!

Thx for this list. I like the Shea Moisture Purification mask, too, but on my hair it feels more like a clarifying product that doesn’t strip. It leaves my hair feeling like I did a bentonite clay treatment…not so much like a conditioner. I’m more prone to use it instead of the bentonite because I don’t have to mix in water and I like the scent.

I absolutely love your long info vids girl, keep it up! I’m bit of a minimalist but if I had the cash I would be buying a lot of the stuff you have too. You’ve said for years that you love your KCCC but no matter what I do i always left me with crunchy hair. It just wasn’t for me. But I’ll kill for my KCKT 😛

    Izzy is looking quite fierce!

I am so glad you mentioned the Shea Moisture Purification Masque and that getting it ‘on the ground’ was important. I live in NYC and have not found a Walgreens that has it. I’ve contacted the company, to no avail. I really don’t like ordering online. Although I have recently broken down and ordered 2 things. But I am going to wait it out until the company makes it available in my area. Hopefully, people coming to your blog will pump up the interest and make the company be more aggressive about getting distribution. I’ve heard nothing but good things about it. Great video!

    • HB says:

Well the main thing I hate about ordering things is the shipping, and Walgreens has free shipping with an order over $25 I think. As long as the shipping is free I don’t mind. 🙂

I almost didn’t hear a word you said because your hair was so darn cute!!!! The only Kinky Curly I’ve used is the Spiral Spritz to refresh my coils. I may give the Custard a go…thank you for the awesome vid! 🙂

Thank you! I have tried Shea Moisture, and have several reviews on the site for their products in addition to the Purification Masque mentioned in the video. There are a couple I did last year, then another I did maybe a couple of months ago.

Thanks Elle! Ok nerd I am tried to guess before hand what’d make the list and I thought for sure Oyin HH would make the condish, and was surprised too at KCCC. Weird, right? 🙂

    • HB says:

I use Oyin Honey Hemp as a leave-in, and it has glycerin so I already had the Smoothing Lotion. I think the SL is a teeny bit better on the slip front.

Welcome back to the Kinky Curly dark side, mwahahahaha! seriously though, the way your hair responds to Curl Junkie is the same way my hair responds to KCCC. I don’t use Knot Today either, but whatever leave-in I use, I seal before using the gel.

    • HB says:

Lol I never left! I ALWAYS have KCCC in my possession. It only took a couple of fails to realize Knot Today isn’t for me.

I just want to say that I am so pissed at Elle for this sh*t….. She has reawakened my sleeping PJism and now I am buying all sorts of stuff!

  11. La'son says:

Elle, thank you for the video. You crack me up & I love the information that you provide. Be well.

Another great video! Many of my current stables I found on your list so please know your videos are really helping those of us that need help:) I love various products too and get the side eye quite often when someone asks so what did you use to get that look and I answer then someone else will say but you said some thing different yesterday. I love different scents and different looks on different days and I don’t plan on changing that cause that’s what I like. Do you lady!!!!

  13. DebbieDeb says:

So am I not “down” if I use more than condish and shea butter??? Lol! I love trying new products…it has allowed me to really find things that work for my tresses. What?! KCCC not Eco blue?? That was a surprise. I’ll have to try CJSL under the KCCC. Thanks! You rock!

    • HB says:

Eco Blue has glycerin and protein, two things that I cannot use on a consistent basis. And yea, sometimes I get a “high and mighty” air from the minimalists (not always though)…but I mean…do you boo…

  14. DivaKurl says:

Oh and thank you for the introduction to Cream of Nature Argan Shampoo! I didn’t know it was sulfate free until I read something you wrote, either here or on NC.

  15. DivaKurl says:

Awesome! I have a some of those items and I’m learning how to use Kinky Curly. I’m currently leaving CJ Rehab under Kinky Curly but still getting crispy hair. Do you apply your CIAB when the hair is still wet or for second day refreshing?

Thanks for providing us your regimen and Holy Grail list because it’s really helped me to “get it together!”. You are definitely awesome!

      • DivaKurl says:

Ok, I may be making another visit to AveYou to check out that smoothing lotion or go to the Oyin store Saturday for some Honey Hemp. I don’t know if I want to overuse rehab (plus, I’m a PJ!). Ha!
