Hey Elle! Just wanted to say I got the Kiss My Face gel tonight and tried it… I think it may be the first gel-based styler that is working with me! I was paranoid of results so i used it as part of a twist-out so I’ll see full results tomorrow, but i could already tell putting it on I was having a better reaction. “Rae” (my hair) seems to be liking it just fine! Thanks for making these lists!

So would it be helpful to seal in a product with glycerin in it, to prevent dryness in low dew points. Or will the air still suck the moisture from your hair?

  3. MO says:

    Hey Elle!
First of all I want to say that I find your product reviews very helpful. I’m super lazy and don’t feel like hunting for quality products for my hair. So thanks for doing all the dirty work!! =] Anywho…my question is about GLYCERIN; I’m a bit confused because in your “Curl Junkie Argan & Olive Oil Daily Hair Conditioner Review” video you said that glycerin draws moisture to your hair, but in this winter products video glycerin seems to be “winters enemy” lol. But, I thought moisture is great in the winter… ohhhh you know what?? Is it maybe because in the winter months glycerin has to moisture in the air to attract to?? Lol I’m so all over the place, I hope you understand my question.

    Thanks a bunch!

Your hair growth is supernatural!! I remember you joining NC with your twa when I was at about APL and (granted, I have chopped a few times, but still) we are now the same length! AMAZING! Your hair is so beautiful!

The best thing to do would be for you to try some other leave-ins out and experiment for your unique hair. My favorite leave-ins are listed on my holy grail list.

    Dear Elle,
I hope all is well. Nice video! What is the best leaving conditioner to use with kinky curly gel. My hair tends to be white after .( i use the kinky curly knot today) What is a good seal after? I cowash my hair most of time, I have short hair cut like you at your beginning !I leave in NYC. Thank you for your help. Feel better!
