Deets after the jump!!
Currently, you can ONLY buy this gel from Curl Junkie.http://www.curljunkie.com/Pattern-Pusha-Hair-Gel-p/ppsg16.htm
From the CJ site:
WHAT IS IT?: a medium-thick, yet slippery, naturally derived gel formulated for hair with waves, curls and coils…helps to enhance/define all patterns!
HOW TO USE IT: If scrunched into the hair it helps to give your hair definition, volume and bounce, and when smoothed into hair it can help stretch out the curls you have and add weight to hair to help elongate and define curls (Don’t over-apply…less is more!). Be sure to evenly apply. For best hold, try diffusing hair slightly to lock in lasting, non-crunchy hold.
WHO NEEDS IT: All hair types. For fine hair use less and smooth/scrunch/blot into hair. For thicker, curlier/coily hair use more and smooth through hair thoroughly with fingers and blot hair. Use diffuser to stretch hair slightly if more length is desired.
AVAILABLE IN: New 16 oz. size blue bottle with a pump! Fruity-Floral Scent
Ingredients: Water, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Dehydroxanthan Gum, Corn Starch Modified, Xanthan Gum, Ulmus Fulva (Slippery Elm Bark) Extract, Camelia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Panthenol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Propylene Glycol, Diazolidinyl Urea, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Fragrance, Tetrasodium EDTA.
KEY INGREDIENTS
* Naturally derived polymers from Corn/Vegetable sources help fight high humidity or lack thereof.
* Panthenol – is said to impart long lasting moisturization and increase the strength of the hair shaft. It conditions hair without build-up and reduces damage from split ends.
* Tocopheryl Acetate (Vit. E) – Antioxidant with wonderful moisturizing and shine enhancing properties.
* Herbal extracts – helps to add shine and smooth frizz.
Pros: Smooths frizz/gives a nice hold without crunch/no aloe/no glycerin/no protein/can easily use this all year round (predicted)
Cons: Most likely can’t get a week of hair (but I don’t aim for this)/smell can be cloying at first (it’s fruity, a little strong, but I like it now)
Hi Elle,
Do you like this product more that the Kinky Curly Curling Custard.
What are the differences that you notice between the two products?
Jo
I talk about the product and KCCC in the video!
Hi. I just purchased a bottle and really cannot wait to use it. I was wondering, since it’s not under your holy grail staples, do you still reach to use it from time to time. Also, if you run out, will you repurchase?
I JUST reviewed this yesterday, so I have been testing it (old and new formula) for the past month or so. I am going to give it a break because I have other things to test. I am not sure if I will rebuy yet – I don’t like to add thing to my HG list so soon, I usually decided when I am out or almost out.
I’m surprised you don’t know if you will rebuy it, because you seem to love it in the video! It sounds really good, and how many glycerin free gels are there out there really 🙂
Sometimes I love something, then when I finish it I’m like ehhhhh I don’t really need this. I have several glycerin free stylers on my HG list. I’ll probably rebuy it, but I haven’t really tested the full stamina of it on multiday hair.
