One more quick question. Do you prepoo and if so with what and for how long? Do you prepoo before your cleansing conditioners or just shampoos or both? Do you need to prepoo before this shampoo? Thanks again.

Hi Brittany, I don’t prepoo so I did not do that at all while I was testing. I do oil rinse sometimes (details on my regimen page) but I didn’t do that while I was testing this shampoo.

In your video you mentioned you compared this to the new BASK hair froth. How does this compare to that? Also how does this shampoo work in removing gel? I use kinky curly and I find I have to lather twice with Daily Fix to get it out but only once with the BASK shampoo. Thank you for your response.

It definitely gets out gel. As mentioned in the video, I don’t have to leave this in for a period of time to get my hair fully clean like I do with my cleansing conditioners. And I’ll be reviewing the B.A.S.K. when I’m finished testing, please stay tuned! 🙂

Have you ever used Aveda Brilliant Anti-Humectant Pomade to seal ends? Reason I ask is is my beautiful defined curls transform into cotton candy hair. Presently, I use all the sealers you have on your holy grail list minus Oyin Whipped Pudding pomade which I plan to purchase tomorrow to try out:

Please let me know your thoughts on saving my curls while I sweat it out at the gym!

    • Elle says:

No sorry, I’ve never used that pomade. Please note that Oyin Whipped Pudding is not a pomade, it’s a moisturizer. I don’t think I’d use a pomade to prevent my hair from getting sweaty at the gym (although I’ve never tried it) – it seems like I would need to make my hair way too greasy (to saturate it) in order for it to be effective.

My apologies, I don’t know why I added pomade to the Oyin product. I have read some good reviews on naturallycurly.com about the Aveda Anit Humectant Pomade, I might give it a shot since the product is returnable if it doesn’t work out. If you are interested in my frizz free workout hair results, I can PM you pictures of the before and after H.I.T.T. training:) – That’s if it works.

        Wish me luck!
