PixieFit Kitchen: Keto Cheeseburger Bread

Hey boos! Today, I have another keto recipe for you all. I recently discussed a ketogenic way of eating in my Spring Essentials video, and this recipe is so yummy, I had to share! So…last week, I may or may not have cooked 6lbs of ground beef that I have been eating by myself ALL week. I am tired of eating beef with veggies, so I wanted to make something good that is a little different. Enter keto cheeseburger bread! All of the ingredients used are totally keto-friendly (dairy is allowed on keto) and I think even people who don’t do keto will love it. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees and get ready for flavor town! Here are the ingredients:

  • 1 cup of almond flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp of sour cream
  • 1 cup cooked ground beef (or turkey if you prefer)
  • 2 slices of cheddar (I used the kind from Costco and crumbled it up)
  • spices to taste (This time I used paprika and jalapeno powder, but I know rosemary would be the jam in this. You can really add whatever you like.)

Just a note, almond flour is more dense than regular flour, but the sour cream counteracts it. If you want it “thinner,” I recommend adding a bit more. I greased a 9×5 loaf pan with olive oil and used that for baking. Once my oven was preheated, I cooked for 20 min. And there you have it! It totally tastes like a cheeseburger and I wish that ketchup was keto-friendly (I don’t have sugar free ketchup) because I would have dipped it! For dinner, I did cover it with bread (grilling) cheese and the cheesy goodness was on point. I cut mine into ten slices, so a serving size (mainly based off the almond flour) is about three slices.

Questions? Let me know! Keto on.

xoxo
