Ugh, I just had to smell for myself – duh! *headache* at Walgreens! Sad, because the rest of the products smell so good and clean, light and not lingering.

I find this works the best on dry hair for me for moisture. I used it as a leave in under Elasta QP feels like silk gel (the solid one, not the liquid), and I did not like it too much. My hair got dry by the end of the day. I use it at night topped with a light oil like sweet almond. That seems to be cool. The smell is aiight….

Are you sure that line just came out? I bought it last summer at Target. BUT I realized you reviewed a cream and I had a spray. Forgive the tumor I had this a.m.! 😛

    • HB says:

No, the Shea Moisture line has been out for quite some time, but they expanded the line and added more products when they branched out to Walgreens. It’s all good!

  4. Saila says:

“Would I buy this again?” “Absolutely not.” LOLOLOL!!!

Izzy looks so big and fluffy!

  5. Jo-Ann says:

I love you hair!!!!!! I mean, I love Izzy!!!! Can you make a ‘how to” video on how you do your hair at this current length? Pretty please???

    • HB says:

Thank you! I have a video of me doing my hair and it’s not much shorter than it is now. I may do one in the future but right now I have too many reviews to get through and don’t have anything to update about it.

Thanks! 🙂 And yea girl… I have a ton of stuff to review and some of it was sent it me…and I don’t want to inundate you guys with “sponsored” reviews. Obviously, I’m still telling the truth, but I know some people don’t like them. So I want to alternate them and still review stuff from my stash as well.

Oh Elle. This stuff smells horrible. I went to Target after watching this and my God it stinks! I can usually deal with some flowery scents (like Jasmine and Neroli) but this was terrible. I don’t think I can even attempt to try it out. I think I’ll stick with the Curl Milk and the Smoothie.

    • HB says:

I’m glad you think it smells terrible too! People kept saying they like the smell and I was like what? You like funeral homes and pure shame? Ick!

  9. Alicia says:

Great review. I do have fine dry hair so I was excited to use this product. I love it as a moisturizer, but like Erika commented, it left my hair feeling sticky. Then again I’m very heavy handed when applying product so that could be the problem. I gave the remainder of the bottle to my dad and he loves it.

don’t make that face at me, Elle! in the past, when i’ve used products labelled “thickening” or “volumizing”, i ended up with the bushiest rat’s nest ever :-p so i stayed away from the “thickening” Yucca line for that reason. honestly though, i don’t think SM knew what they were doing when they were marketing and branding their lines, because it seems as if none of them work the way they’re supposed to…

    • HB says:

What do you mean? This one worked like I would expect it to…it was good but for coarse hair I like a little more moisture. Makes sense. I just wish it didn’t stink…

  11. erika says:

I had purchased a bottle of this last year sometime. It had so much potential but I found it sticky tacky. I didn’t like that feeling, though I am sure it’s the glue like consistency that makes it feel like the hair is thicker. Meh…

    • HB says:

How did you get it last year? The Yucca line just came out when they started selling it at Walgreens.
